Never again! Had a massage awhile back and staff decided it would be a good idea to vacuum right outside the massage door, banging into the door several times. Were they really that clueless or did they do it on purpose? Massage therapist was good but she's not there anymore. My friend used the hydra spa and said it was dirty. Got a manicure here from G and my 9 year old niece could have done a better job. Tried contacting management first but never heard back so here's my review. Poorly managed, some staff have snooty attitudes, and spa service was very bad.
I didn't have an appt today but really needed a haircut and was lucky enough to snag a wonderful haircut with a great stylist, Erica. I highly recommend Ochoa Salon.
Although I was not happy with the first haircut, I decided to give her a 2nd chance. On November 22, (Day B4 Thanksgiving) I had another appointment for a shape up - this time with a different back design and no part - Again she did not give me what I wanted. Avis butchered my hair - I asked to have the sides and back tapered and was horrified when I got home to see what I paid $45 for plus a $10 tip. - Had I known the cut was so terrible before leaving the salon, I would have talked to the manager and I would definitely not have given her a tip, she's not worthy of $1 let alone $10.
1st experience, not good - 2nd experience, should have learned from the first.
It's funny, the first clue should have been when Avis told me her boyfriend won't let her cut his hair - apparently she cut his hair once and he had to go to his barber to have him fix his hair.
Called the Salon on Friday 11/24 and sent an email 11/29. To-date I have not heard from management.
Been going to Ochoa for over a decade. NEVER had a bad experience. Got my hair cut for my wedding there. Brought my siblings and brother in law there to get cuts for their weddings too. They never disappoint no matter who you see.
This post is to voice my dissatisfaction with OCHOA, East Longmeadow, MA. If you're a Black woman in need of a haircut (short, buzzed, tapered, stylish) DO NOT GO TO AVIS... The worst experience ever!!!

October 2017, I called for a stylist who knows how to cut a Black woman's hair - I was assigned Avis. On October 14 (1st visit), I came in for a shape up; my hair is very short (less than an 1"), I brought a picture of what I would like and Avis assured me she could deliver - she did not. The back design I wanted was not exact, I also asked for a part, which I specified, not too wide - well you guessed it - the part was too wide - my overall experience, 2. I was so unhappy with what Avis did on October 14; I went home and buzzed my hair.
Jaimee and Erika are great. All of my girls have had the best experience with both. We drive from Boston because they can be trusted to do an excellent job. Thank you for all the years of great customer service!
